With printing equipment becoming more costly every year, printers have to get more production and higher quality out of their duplicators. Dollar for dollar, the best investment you can make in a small press is the dampening system

The Stealth Dampening System, manufactured by Duplicator Technologies, with it's patented, rock solid, all steel construction is built to last. Installation is simple and precise. When the time comes to change rollers in the system, which consist of a metering, a transfer, and an oscillating idler roller, all three can be taken out and replaced in under ten minutes. You then ink up the system, make one pressure stripe adjustment, add fountain solution and you are ready to print.

Since the Stealth is an integrated system, it DOES NOT pile ink and IS NOT an ink accumulator, unlike other dampeners which are segregated and do both. There are no gears to wear out or to cause shock lines. With continuous dampening and precise lateral control across the plate, the system will run any PMS color in the book, including metallics, accurately and smoothly. Soil, oil, or rubber base inks all run equally well, and the dampener washes up along with the ink rollers for fast color changes.

The Stealth will print the least amount of ink and water of any system on the market, and drying is almost instant. Oddly enough, even though we do not have a separate water form on the plate, this system is also a hickey picker. You can run this system all day and most of the paper lint ends up in the water fountain and the ink rollers look good and clean. True ink and water integration means that the ink and water are actually homogenized under pressure and then introduced into the ink train - this means the water doesn't just lay on top of the ink - truly a different way to print better!
