Pro-Line

"Printing Ink With Pride"

Pro-Line PPI Ink

The original; the one and only one of its kind, PPI Inks are neither rubber based, nor oilbased, but dry by the exclusive "polymerization" process. Chemically suspended in its wet state, until it reaches paper, it will no skin over in the can nor dry on the press (similar to a rubberbase ink); on paper it must revert to its natural dry state, "polymerizing" (drying) faster than a rubberbased ink that penetrates into paper, or, an oilbased ink that oxidizes. In "polymerizing" it seals both coated and uncoated papers, providing gloss, adhesion and rub resistance, and a 20 50 25% strength increase, allowing a dramatic reduction in ink needed, and thus a much reduced level of ink and water balance. It is properly formulated for small and large presses, conventional or integrated dampening systems, using e-stat, silvermaster or metal plates.

Pro-Line PPI Inks are available from the largest "off the shelf" selection of "stock" inks in North America! 89 colors, plus of course, any special color.

Pro Dry Ink

Pro-Dry Inks are formulated using the polymerization" drying process of PPI Inks, as well as the benefits of oxidation...for the optimum drying on "harder to dry on" papers like bristol, tag index and card stocks, as well as perfect drying on non porous stocks like foil, polyester, vinyl, plastics, impregnated and man made stocks like "Kimdura, Tyvek, Currency Cover".  However, unlike "Tufftex" and others made for non porous substrates, Pro-Dry will not dry on the press while running, nor over lunch hour, under normal conditions. The adhesion and drying are superior to all others by virtue of polymerization!

Pro -Dry Inks (PDI) are available from the largest "off the shelf" selection of "stock" inks in North America! 30 colors, plus of course, and special color.

Earth Safe Ink

EarthSafe Inks, with a "0", "1" "1" HMIS rating ("0" for health hazard) bridge the gap between "safe inks" and "quality printing". With 64% (of non-solids) or 24% (of total weight) American grown and processed soyoil. American made into ink, this unique ink is made to dry as fast and as hard as conventional oilbased inks; without compromise. All other soybased inks fail becuase they are not able to form a solid, hard, dry film; only EarthSafe Inks have combied technlogy and safety, with "near instant drying"! The 4-6% volatile organic compounds (VOC's) are far less than the 20 through 40$ that are present in conventional petrochemical offset inks. The small press formula contains added ingredients for tack and water resistance.

EarthSafe Inks (ESI) are available from the largest "off the shelf" selection of "stock" inks in North America! in formulas for large or smaller presses! 108 colors, plus of course, and special color.

Pro-Metal Inks

Pro-Metal Inks are made using a unique technology for encapsulating the metallic powders, aluminum for silver inks and bronze powders for gold inks, so as to prevent tarnishing. Thus these inks can be run today, or up to six months down the road, without the tarnishing effects. The encapsulating resin also provides a barrier to prevent scuffing and scratching, but although far improved over every other metallic ink, a varnish coat is still recommended for any "handled" applications. Additionally, the resin coating of the metallic pigments has a positive effect on the nature and specific gravity of these inks, so that they can perform on press much more like conventionally formulated pigmented inks. The can be run free of piling or plugging, under normal conditions.

Pro-Metal Inks (PMI) are available from the largest "off the shelf" selection of "stock" inks in North America! 80 colors, plus, of course, and special color.

Pro-Coat Varnishes

Pro-Coat Overprint Varnishes are made to material specifications developed in Europe, using the highest density resins available in the natural drying range, with emphasis on drying speed, as well as non yellowing. Since no one formula allowed for a varnish that suited all needs, a range of varnishes was developed to meet each application criteria. A chart was developed to assist the selection of the right Pro-Coat Varnish for the job. A new Pro-Coat Varnish has been added to the list, for those who wish to address the environmental issue; the (ESI) EarthSafe Overprint Varnish is made from soybean oils and achieves a unique "whiteness" in all purpose formula.

Pro-Coat Overprint Varnishes (PCV) are available from the largest "off the shelf" selection of "stock" inks in North America! 10 choices.
