Representing the third generation of Kimoto CtP, the Kimosetter 525 provides more capabilities while still maintaining an environmentally friendly, no chemical and no waste approach. Backed up by Kimoto's ISO14000 certification, Kimoto is ensuring that your plate making is as green as it can be.

The Kimosetter 525 is built from the ground up to be a plate making machine. The design, engineering, manufacture and components represent world best practice and the result is an incredibly well built and reliable plate setter with the capabilities and price for the 2-up market.

The Kimosetter 525 will provide the choice of loading polyester plates in bulk or one at a time. Long runs or high quality halftone work are not an issue for Kimosetter users. Four-color work in conventional halftone at up to 155lpi is now a simple operation for Kimosetter users.

The Kimosetter 525 comes with a dedicated RIP that has been designed specifically for UV inkjet conventional half toning. The RIP allows for two output levels for high quality jobs or for very high quality halftone work.

Kimosetter 410

Now available for GTO presses

The Kimosetter 410 is a desktop CTP solution which enables to image GTO offset plates. The plates with a size up to 410 x 510mm, imaged with a thermaltransfer system are toner and chemical free. Easily exchangeable ink ribbons are used and ensure simple operation. Kimoto's CTP system is supplied in abundle with a PostScript 3 RIP for PC or Macintosh. The Kimosetter 410 is the ideal choice for small offset printers and copy shops. It is most suitable for text, high density solids and clean halftones.

Kimoplate e2

Kimoplate e2 is an environmentally friendly and chemistry free polyester plate. Neither etching nor post fusing are required. Due to the stability of this 0.140mm thick polyester plate, accurate image size and good registration can be achieved. The Kimoplate e2 is compatible with most fountain solutions as well as most common printing inks.

Filmsetter 340i

Compact desktop film setter

The Filmsetter 340i is a desktop CTF solution with the capability to image polyester films with a maximum printing area of 323x476mm. It is used by offset-, screen- and pad printers. This thermal transfer printer is using a completely dry, non-chemical process. Compared with laser films, the imaged films are toner free and the edge definition is sharper. Simple and clean operation is ensured through the use of easily exchangeable ink ribbons. The Filmsetter 340i is most suitable for text, high density solids and clean halftones.

Kimolec TH-90S

The film can easily be handled in daylight conditions and requires neither fusing process nor chemical development, which might cause shrinkage or waving of it. Its 0.075mm thick polyester base provides dimensional stability and ensures accurate image size as well as good registration. Through imaging Kimolec TH-90S with the Filmsetter 340i a UV density of 2.8~3.0 is achieved.

KIMOTO LASERIMAGING PRODUCTS

KIMOLEC PF-90S is a specially coated, polyester film with excellent thermal stability for use in laser printers. The direct imaging of this film does not require a darkroom. The quality of the text and image reproduction is determined by the laser printer in use. Therefore, the laser printer should have a resolution of 600 dpi or higher.

KIMODENS SPRAY
The optical density of KIMOLEC PF-90S laser film depends on the laser printer's toner technology. If a higher density is required, the simplest and cheapest method for occasional after treatment is Kimoto's KIMODENS PF-DENS SPRAY. It contains a special agent that refines and homogenises the grain size of the toner. This increases the density value up to 3.5
Spray evenly on the exposed side of the Kimolec PF-90S film from a distance of 30-40cm. The film is ready to be exposed after few minutes drying time.

KIMOPLATE

Laser plate series for small offset presses

Kimoplate S and LP3 are offset plates to be imaged with laser printers. Kimoto's laser plates are compatible with most dry toner laser printers from HP, GCC, or Xante. They run with common oil, rubber, and soy based offset printing inks and provide good durability. No darkroom handling is required since Kimoplates are not light sensitive. Correction pens are available for image touch up. If the printing process is interrupted, the polyester based Kimoplates recover easily. They can be imaged and stored to be printed weeks later.

Kimoplate S is an environmental friendly solution as no chemistry for the exposure is necessary. Immediately after imaging with a laser printer, the plate is press ready.
