DFS-3500 Bookletmaking System

Duplo's near-line DFS-3500 has been designed to completely finish full-bleed booklets in a single pass.

Combining the creasing and slitting functions of the DC-445 Creaser with the stitching, folding, and trimming capabilities of the mid-range DBM-350/T Bookletmaker and Trimmer, the DFS-3500 Bookletmaking System delivers an affordable all-in-one bookletmaking system ideal for short-run applications.

By automating the finishing process required to create full-bleed booklets, the DFS-3500 eliminates the need for a separate guillotine cutter and creasing machine. Time consuming set-ups, wasted material, and turnaround times are all reduced. Complete job set-up is done from the user-friendly DC-445 control panel and up to 30 jobs can be saved for quick and easy recall. The DFS-3500 Bookletmaking System's ability to slit, crease, stitch, fold, and trim in one pass makes it the perfect solution for producing applications such as calendars, catalogs, yearbooks, newsletters, and more.

DBM-120 Bookletmaker & DBM-120T Trimmer

Connected to the DC-10/60Pro or DFC-120 collators, the DBM-120 and DBM-120T can produce up to 2,400 professional trimmed booklets an hour.

The automatic setting of the DBM-120 Bookletmaker offers speed and reliability to maximize productivity and increase profits. The optional DBM-120T Trimmer is designed to be used in-line with the DBM-120 for precise and consistent face trimmed booklets containing up to 80 pages.

The DBM-120 is customized for simple setup and foolproof operation. With the most common applications pre-programmed, easy bookletmaking is accessed at the tough of a button. No timely manual adjustments are necessary. Since the side guides, head stops, staple/fold position stoppers, and machine automatically move to the correct position, the operator can conveniently change from one job to the next in mere seconds.

The mid-range DBM-350 Bookletmaker and DBM-350T Trimmer are fully automatic, easy to set up, and accommodates both digital and offset applications

Duplo's fully-automatic mid-range DBM-350/T bookletmaker/trimmer fits between Duplo's established low-end bookletmaker DBM-120/T and its high-end counterpart the DBM-500/T and as such provides an alternative according to production requirements and budgetary needs.  Offering stitching heads, speeds of up to 3,000 books an hour, and fully automated set-up, the DBM-350/T is an extremely productive and professional solution.  The flexible bookletmaker easily accommodates a range of on-demand applications such as CD and DVD covers through to 5.5" x 8.5" to 8.5" x 11" finished booklets of up to 80 pages.

The ability of the DBM-350/T to handle set-by-set and sheet-by-sheet output with equal ease means that it can be connected to Duplo's collating systems or dynamic sheet feeders, making it ideal for printers making the transition from offset to digital, allowing you to incorporate color content and variable data into your finishing solutions.

DBM-500 Bookletmaker & DBM-500T Trimmer

The DBM-500 Bookletmaker with DBM-500T Trimmer is exceptionally versatile and accepts output from off-line, near-line, in-line, and dual-line sources.

Redefining the word automatic, Duplo presents the first and only truly automatic bookletmaker. The DBM-500 Bookletmaker delivers cutting edge technology and unprecedented speeds up to 5,000 booklets per hour. Incorporating significant technical upgrades, the fully automatic DBM-500 is exceptionally user-friendly, versatile, and includes a revolutionary offering that sets itself apart from competitors. A state-of-the-art accumulation system offers complete flexibility by accepting both set-by-set of the traditional offset market and sheet-by-sheet pre-collated output of digital printers.

Push button setup and changeover make the DBM-500 the world's easiest to use stitcher/folder. Go from 11" x 17" to a CD size book job without any additional parts or manual intervention. The bookletmaker's LCD touch panel enables all functions of the trimmer to be controlled from this main unit. Easy changeover is achieved by diverting corner or side-stitched jobs to a separate catch-tray, while other jobs continue to pass through the trimmer onto the belt-stacker. Input up to 12 frequently used jobs for effortless changeover.

The DBM-500 also boasts a redesigned fold unit that provides a flatter, crisper fold. Engineered to meet every demand, this revolutionary machine is the fastest, easiest, most economical, and accurate method available for turning printed material into quality finished documents.
